THE HONORARY MEMBER OF THE UNION OF PAINTERS PRESENTED A PAINTING OF HIS PRIVATE COLLECTION TO THE CHAMBER

The Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia received as a guest the honorary member of the Union of Painters of Armenia Mher Shahinyan.
The reason of the meeting was the gift to the Chamber of Advocates of RA presented by Mher Shahinyan, who isn't a painter by his profession, but who has been creating during the last decade and has achieved a serious creative success.
Mher Shahinyan presented to the advocates from his private collection the "Fugue num.1" painting. Addressing to the staff of the Chamber, the artist noted, that on having private intercourse with advocates, as also on noting the efforts of the advocacy community in the work of human rights defence in recent times, he has decided to encourage the representatives of the community and according to him, transmit a new impulse to present and future advocates. On presenting the painted in three months period of time painting, Mher Shahinyan told that the source of inspiration of the painting was the homonymous piece by Johann Sebastian Bach, that despite its calm melodiousness, made the artist paint a piece symbolizing movement, running (from latin Fuga is translated as running, flight).
He noted, that the time of advocates is limited, what can cause lack of intercourse with art. The Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan thanked Mher Shahinyan for his symbolical gift, for a cultural compliment. Ara Zohrabyan noted, that "Art is one of the aesthetic ways to express the reality. The relations between advocacy and art are very important to us. I hope, in this very room that is the Hall for the sessions of the Council, this picture is going to present good mood and will give as the impulse and running that you have mentioned".
At the presence and participation of the author, the painting has been hung on the wall of the Hall of the Council of the Chamber.
